Interrupting Oppression: Black Maternal Health

In partnership with Planned Parenthood Keystone, PatientsRWaiting, and Millersville University, we are proud to present a special Interrupting Oppression workshop focusing on Black Maternal Health in Lancaster County and beyond.

Black women are three times more likely to die from a pregnancy related complication than white women. Disparities in access to quality healthcare, community resources, as well as structural racism create real, ongoing danger for Black mothers before, during, and following giving birth, as well as accessing safe abortion.

Join us for an engaging discussion featuring Dr. Sharee Livingston of PatientsRWaiting, Tess Feiler of YWCA Lancaster, and Adam Hosey of Planned Parenthood Keystone. Together we will unpack this important topic, as well as discuss ways that we can elevate the urgency of the issue to create change in our community.

Dinner will be provided!

Bring 5 friends, and get a free copy of Planned Parenthood’s slow read book “You’re the Only One I’ve Told“!
