#GivingTuesdayNow is accepting donations through May 26! Why is it so important to donate now? We are excited to
be participating in the #Nonprofit Matching-Fund Initiative, which supplements your gift through available match funding.

During the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, our work continues and YWCA Lancaster remains steadfast in our commitment to the community.

#GivingTuesdayNow is a time to come together and drive a spike of generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation, and support for those that are dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

How does #GivingTuesdayNow help YWCA Lancaster?

The health and safety of families in our Mary Kepler Residence Program is vital. Our living quarters are tight with shared kitchens and baths and for the safety of all we’d like to move individuals under quarantine (due to testing or possible exposure) from our communal housing into individual hotel rooms. With a single night’s stay averaging $42, and additional cost for food, we will incur costs of approximately $800 per individual – a line item that was not included in our budget but is critical for everyone’s health. Funds from #GivingTuesdayNow will be used to assist any of the nearly 50 women, men and children in our residence program who may need this support.

Even though our world seems to be filled with unknowns, as an organization we are rising to the challenge of adapting our programs and services to continue supporting our community.
