Andrea Smith, MSW (she/her)

Assistant Director, Sexual Assault Prevention and Counseling Center

Andrea Smith (she/her) is the Lead Clinician at YWCA Lancaster’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Counseling Center. She grew up in northwest Colorado until moving to Lancaster, where she completed her Master of Social Work degree in 2023. Andrea is passionate about providing whole-person trauma care that honors the dignity, strength, and resilience of both the individual and those who care for them. She brings a background in academic research on trauma, spirituality, and sexuality, and experience in family therapy with children and their parents navigating the child welfare system. Her approach to therapy incorporates play, stories, and attention to the systems that influence us. When not at work, Andrea enjoys time in Lancaster City with her family and friends, good coffee, and petting her very large orange cat and small black dog.
