YWCA Lancaster is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all!

We are proud to celebrate five years of showcasing the accomplishments of women who, though their careers and volunteerism, live out our mission in Lancaster County. These women are business leaders, educators, medical professionals, public servants, artists, volunteers, and other accomplished women who serve as mentors and role models in the community. This is your opportunity to recognize their accomplishments and contributions by nominating them for the 5th Annual Women of Achievement Awards.

This year we lost a cherished colleague and friend, Cheryl Gahring (right), YWCA Lancaster’s Chief Impact Officer and valued team member for over fourteen years. In honor of her legacy, we are naming one of our Women of Achievement Awards the Cheryl Gahring Young Woman Achievement Award, in recognition of a deserving young woman who is between 16 – 25 years of age and demonstrates qualities of leadership and excellence in their endeavors.

•We welcome your nomination of multiple women and ask you to alert your candidate of her nomination. YWCA Lancaster uses an inclusive definition of women, and we welcome any nominee that identifies as a woman in a way that’s significant to them.

•Nominations must be received by July 26, 2021 by 5:00 PM

•The selection committee composed of past Award winners and YWCA Board members, will announce the 2021 Honorees in August 2021.

•Join us at the YWCA Women of Achievement Awards on October 15, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel in Lancaster to honor these amazing women!
