Child Enrichment Center

Child Enrichment Center

At YWCA Lancaster, we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to thrive. Our dedicated team of educators is committed to fostering the intellectual, physical, and emotional growth of each child, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future educational journeys.

Infant & Toddler Care

Our infant and toddler programs offer a safe, caring, and engaging environment where the youngest members of our community can explore and grow. We focus on creating strong, loving relationships between caregivers and children, promoting a sense of security and trust. Our curriculum supports early developmental milestones through activities that encourage sensory exploration, motor skills, and early language development.

Pre-K

Our Pre-K Counts program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. Through a balanced curriculum that combines play-based learning with structured educational activities, children develop essential skills in literacy, math, science, and the arts. Social skills are also a key focus, with plenty of opportunities for cooperative play and interaction with peers.

Why our Child Enrichment Center?

Qualified Educators: Our teachers are highly trained in early childhood education and are committed to ongoing professional development. They create a supportive and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and learning.

Child-Centered Curriculum: Our curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs of each child, promoting their cognitive, physical, and emotional development. We believe each child is worthy and capable of great things when given the opportunity. We base our lessons on a child’s interests and develop plans to encourage safe and meaningful play.

Safe and Inclusive Environment: We provide a safe, nurturing space where all children feel valued and included. Our facilities are designed with children's safety and well-being in mind. We support children and meet their educational goals through a variety of developmentally appropriate activities.

Family Engagement: We believe in the importance of family involvement in a child's education. We offer regular communication, family-teacher conferences, and opportunities for families to participate in classroom activities.

Healthy Meals and Snacks: YWCA Lancaster Child Enrichment Center participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) for providing meals and snacks for children at our North Lime Street location.  Our meals are provided to all children, and we abide by federal non-discrimination policies for our families.  Nutrition is a key component of our program. We provide healthy meals and snacks to support the physical growth and well-being of our children.

Convenient for Families: Designed to support families, our programs offer flexible scheduling to meet your needs.

Choosing YWCA Lancaster for your child's early learning and development means entrusting them to a program that prioritizes their overall well-being and prepares them for future success.
