Sexual Assault Prevention
and Counseling Center
YWCA Lancaster’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Counseling Center (SAPCC) is Lancaster County’s designated rape crisis center. SAPCC provides support, advocacy, and no-cost counseling for victim survivors of sexual abuse, for significant others, and for other family members. We also provide primary prevention education programs across the county.
Staff members or trained volunteer advocates are available 24-hours a day through our sexual assault hotline.

Prevention and Education
Prevention programs are designed to move beyond awareness and education by focusing on skill building, changing attitudes beliefs, and behaviors in order to prevent sexual harassment, abuse, assault, and other forms of violence.

Services for Victim Survivors and Non Offending Individuals
Services include the 24-Hour Sexual Assault Hotline, crisis counseling, therapy, support groups, and medical and legal advocacy.

24-Hour Sexual Assault Hotline
The 24-Hour Sexual Assault Hotline is operated by trained staff and volunteers. Callers utilize the hotline for several reasons, including crisis intervention services, questions about resources and referrals related to sexual violence; inquiries about counselling; and requests to provide medical advocacy at local hospitals. Counseling Services
YWCA Lancaster’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Counseling Center provides confidential and no-cost counseling services to victim survivors of sexual violence, their significant others, and family members.

Service Locations
We feel every victim survivor of sexual harassment, abuse, assault, and other forms of violence should have access to exceptional mental health services. We temporarily serve clients and hold programming at 1905 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602. We have a satellite site in Columbia by appointment.
We also provide preventative services to schools, churches, and other organizations when requested.
Support Groups - Adult Survivor Groups
The first Monday of each month, YWCA Lancaster’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Counseling Center will be hosting a gathering for any adults who have experienced sexual assault. If the first Monday of the month is a holiday, and YWCA Lancaster is closed, our gathering will be the first Tuesday of the month.
