Join YWCA Lancaster's Center for Racial and Gender Equity and Child Enrichment Centers for our 2026 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Children’s Celebration on Monday, January 19, 2026.
Bring the whole family and discover the power of community! Dr. King’s dream continues to inspire new generations. Our 2026 theme, "Dreaming of a Better Future," bridges his vision with today’s challenges, showing that the dream is ongoing, not finished.
Children who attend will go home with a free book donated by Willow Valley Communities (while supplies last) and can enjoy special book readings every hour with our inspiring guest readers:
10:00 AM - Who was Martin Luther King, Jr.? by Lisbeth Kaiser
11:00 AM - We all Belong. by Nathalie Goss
12:00 PM - Sharing the Dream. by Sheila P. Moses
Join us after the book readings for cupcakes, snacks, a lively drum circle, exciting STEM activities, and fun ways to build connections with others. Together, we’ll celebrate how we can all make a difference in our community and beyond, one small step at a time!
