Moving Forward Together: Empowering Change, Creating Lasting Impact

As we reflect on the recent election, it's clear that the work we do as a community is far from over. While the ballots have been counted and the political landscape may shift, our shared commitment to justice, equality, and empowerment remains steadfast. Now is the time to take action—because together, we are stronger.

For 135 years, YWCA Lancaster has stood at the forefront of creating change in our community. We’ve worked tirelessly to advance racial justice, empower women, and uplift LGBTQIA+ individuals. But this work is ongoing. The fight for equality and dignity for all is far from finished, and we need everyone to be part of the solution. Now is the time to continue driving change forward—and we need your help to make it happen.

YWCA Lancaster: A History of Empowerment and Advocacy

Our mission is clear: to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. These aren’t just words on a page—they are values that have guided our work for over a century. We are proud of our history, but we are even more excited about what lies ahead.

YWCA Lancaster is deeply committed to uplifting women, supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, and advancing racial justice. These efforts are more important than ever, as we continue to build a community that is inclusive, equitable, and just.

Whether it’s through programs like our no-cost Racial Equity Institute, which equips individuals and organizations with the tools to create lasting change, or through our continued advocacy for the rights of women and marginalized communities, we are always striving to make a real impact.

But we cannot do this work alone. It’s you—our supporters, our partners, our community members—who make our work possible. We need YOU to continue pushing for change, supporting those who need it most, and ensuring that our community remains a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
