How Your Gift Helps Across Our Departments
At YWCA Lancaster, your donations directly support the critical programs and services we offer through our five departments. Here’s how you can help:
1. Child Enrichment Program
Monetary Needs: Scholarships for low-income families, updated classroom supplies, and expanded curriculum for school-age and kindergarten enrichment programs.
Community Donations: Educational toys, books, art supplies, storage supplies, and children’s furniture.
2. Sexual Assault Prevention and Counseling Center
Monetary Needs: Funding for 24/7 crisis response, trauma counseling services, and prevention education in schools and communities.
Community Donations: Comfort kits (blankets, stress-relief items), comfortable clothing (sweatshirts. sweatpants, socks), and art therapy supplies. (clothing items must be new)
3. New Choices Career Development Program
Monetary Needs: Support for job training workshops, career coaching sessions, and transportation assistance for participants.
Community Donations: Gift cards for transportation or childcare expenses.
4. Kepler Hall Residence Program
Monetary Needs: Support for providing safe housing, case management services, and resources for clients seeking stable, long-term housing.
Community Donations: Household items like bedding (twin size), towels, kitchen supplies, cleaning products, and gift cards for groceries or personal care items.
5. Center for Racial and Gender Equity (CRGE)
Monetary Needs: Support for racial equity training programs, advocacy initiatives, and educational resources for the community.
Community Donations: Volunteer your time and sponsorships for events.
