Assistant Director, Early Child Learning Center

YWCA Lancaster Early Child Learning Center is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Director.  The Assistant Director will assist the Director with operations of 4 Early Head Start (EHS) Classrooms, 1 Pre-K Counts Classroom, 1 Public Pre-School Classroom and the Before and After School program, including summer camp, located at the YWCA downtown location.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have previous supervision experience and extensive knowledge of Department of Human Services regulations.  Candidates should have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented. Previous experience with EHS, Pre-K Counts and Keystone Stars required. Candidates must have a minimum of an associate degree in Early Childhood Education.

Counselor and Educator

This position will specifically counsel, at our downtown and mobile sites, children and adults who have experienced sexual violence. This position will provide primary prevention education programming. This position will also provide empowerment programming for youth. Our counseling center staff is robust, compassionate, and innovative. We love our work and the people we serve.

Full-Time Before & After School Childcare Staff - Millersville

The YWCA Lancaster is looking for Full-Time Before and After School Staff at our Millersville locations.  This is a split shift position. The hours are 6:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. MondayFriday.  Minimum of 9 credits in Elementary Education, SACC Credential, or 2,500 hours of childcare experience is required. Position starts at $12.00/hour – actual rate of pay depends on education and experience.  Excellent Benefits.Apply in person or to employment@ywcalancaster.org YWCA 110 N. Parent Educator

YWCA Lancaster is currently seeking qualified candidates to work with families that are involved with Lancaster County Children and Youth Social Services Agency.  As a Parent Educator, you would be teaching and modeling parenting skills, identifying the parent’s needs of household management, helping to re-build self-esteem, identifying and promoting life management skills, and assist in the building of a support system for the family.  This is done through a personalized intervention.

This is a part-time paid position.  All training materials are provided and hours are flexible, but will include two Wednesday meetings per month from 9am-11am.  Parenting experience strongly preferred (natural, foster or adoptive).  Additional qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, strong documentation skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills.  Additional training or experience in child welfare and/or child development is helpful.  Court testimony may be required. Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.
