Full-Time Assistant Director - YWonderful Kids

YWCA Lancaster YWonderful Kids Penn Manor is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Assistant Director.  The Assistant Director will assist the Director with operations of 6 Before and After School Sites, Kindergarten Wrap Program and Summer Camp. This includes overseeing day to day operations; training, supervision and scheduling of staff; and attendance and enrollment.

Full-time Equity Training Coordinator

YWCA Lancaster is seeking a full time Equity Training Coordinator. This position will focus on a data-informed approach to the design, content development, implementation, and facilitation of our Racial Equity Institute and customized trainings. The Coordinator will assist with requests for proposals, logistics, coordination, and scheduling, contract management. In the Center, the Equity Training Specialist will develop, coach, and mentor Social Justice Trainers to deliver customized trainings and the Racial Equity Institute.
Qualified candidates will have a strong understanding and commitment to race and gender equity, anti-oppression work, and liberatory thinking. Experience and knowledge of intersectional approaches to social justice training and adult learning is required.

• The ideal Equity Training Coordinator has a deep understanding of systemic and institutional racism.
• Will have a strong commitment to the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training and education initiatives that support racial justice.
• Proven ability to create and deliver educational content on anti-racism, anti-oppression, liberation, intersectionality, bias, DEI.
• Ability to respond to client request for customized trainings and develop evidence-based content for facilitation.
• Organization, project management, interpersonal communication (writing and verbal), public speaking, facilitation, and ability to differentiate engagement approaches are all key skills required of this position.
• Utilizes data to drive content and delivery
• This position reports to the Chief Equity Officer
Required Skills, Experiences, and Characteristics
• Excellent writing and presentation skills with a successful track record of breaking down complex concepts or processes in an easily understandable manner and communicating and engaging with a diverse set of stakeholders
• Demonstrated success in communicating in a team setting. This includes collaboratively developing objectives and goals and delegating tasks to meet them.
• Have strong proficiency in the following software or platforms: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams), Google applications, Zoom, Dropbox, Adobe Acrobat
• Experience simultaneously managing multiple projects with different timelines and deliverables
• Demonstrated facilitation skills for youth, BIPOC, and multigenerational spaces
• Demonstrated facilitation skills in the virtual environment and a strong proficiency using Zoom and other virtual meeting platforms
• Ability and willingness to apply an equity lens to all aspects of work.
• Demonstrated commitment to centering Black, Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), and LGBTQIA+ communities
• A minimum of three years’ experience delivering DEI trainings
• Additional 2-3 years of professional and/or lived experience in the related fields, including but not limited to education.

Full-time Teacher in our Childcare Program

The YWCA Lancaster is looking for Teachers in our Childcare Program. This position provides age-appropriate educational instruction to children in Early Head Start, Pre-K Counts and School Age Childcare. A minimum of a Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required.

Full-time Teacher - SACC

YWCA Lancaster is looking for a FT Teacher in our School Age Childcare Program. This position provides continued educational instruction to children before and after half day kindergarten. Bilingual Counselor and Educator

YWCA Lancaster is looking for a dedicated and dynamic person to fill a role of Bilingual Counselor and Educator. This position is part-time with benefits (30 hours a week). The person in this role will specifically provide counseling, at our downtown and mobile sites, for children and adults who have experienced sexual violence. The person in the role will also provide primary prevention education programming.

A Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences or related field is required, Master’s degree preferred. Experience in counseling and public speaking preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish. Part-Time Before & After School Childcare Staff - Millersville

YWCA Lancaster is looking for PT Before and After School Staff.  Our School Age Childcare operates in Millersville from 6:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – various shifts are available.  Minimum of 9 credits in Elementary Education, SACC Credential, or 2,500 hours of childcare experience is required. Position starts at $15.00/hour – actual rate of pay depends on education and experience.

Parent Educator (Bilingual preferred)

The YWCA is currently seeking qualified candidates to work with families that are involved with Lancaster County Children and Youth Social Services Agency. As a Parent Educator, you would be teaching and modeling parenting skills, identifying the parent’s needs of household management, helping to re-build self-esteem, identifying and promoting life management skills, and assist in the building of a support system for the family. This is done through a personalized intervention. Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.

Part-time and Full-time positions available. All training materials are provided and hours are flexible, but will include two Wednesday meetings per month from 9am-11am. Parenting experience strongly preferred (natural, foster or adoptive). Additional qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, strong documentation skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills. Additional training or experience in child welfare and/or child development is helpful. Court testimony may be required.
