Staff Accountant

The staff accountant’s responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and closing process and maintaining accounts payable documentation.  The staff accountant will also be assisting the CFO as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.

The staff accountant should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).  The staff accountant should also possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills and have a track record of providing quality work.

The Staff Accountant position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Part-time Medical Advocate

YWCA Lancaster is looking for a PT On- Call Medical Advocate for the Sexual Assault Prevention and Counseling Center. Monday through Friday 6pm to 6am and 24/7 coverage Saturday and Sunday, approximately every 5 weeks. Responsible for hotline advocacy and supporting victim survivors and their significant others at local area hospitals who are receiving sexual assault forensic exams. Shifts are completed remotely from an advocate’s residence and in person accompaniments are responded to within the hour. Training provided. Role requires attendance to bi-monthly meetings and yearly on-going training. All staff are expected to carry out the YWCA Lancaster’s mission of empowering women and eliminating racism by maintaining commitment to social justice, trauma recovery, multiculturalism, and elimination of systemic oppression. YWCA Lancaster staff must maintain high ethical standards and abide by YWCA Lancaster policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.

Full-time Teacher in our Childcare Program

YWCA Lancaster is looking for Teachers in our Childcare Program. This position provides age-appropriate educational instruction to children in Early Head Start, Pre-K Counts and School Age Childcare. A minimum of a Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required.

Full-time Teacher - SACC

YWCA Lancaster is looking for a FT Teacher in our School Age Childcare Program. This position provides continued educational instruction to children before and after half day kindergarten. A minimum of an associate degree in Early Childhood Education, or a related field, is required. The hours are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday – Friday. This position starts at $15.00/hour – actual rate of pay depends on education and experience. Bilingual Counselor and Educator

YWCA Lancaster is looking for a dedicated and dynamic person to fill a role of Bilingual Counselor and Educator. This position is part-time with benefits (30 hours a week). The person in this role will specifically provide counseling, at our downtown and mobile sites, for children and adults who have experienced sexual violence. The person in the role will also provide primary prevention education programming.

A Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences or related field is required, Master’s degree preferred. Experience in counseling and public speaking preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish. Part-Time Before & After School Childcare Staff - Millersville

YWCA Lancaster is looking for PT Before and After School Staff.  Our School Age Childcare operates in Millersville from 6:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – various shifts are available.  Minimum of 9 credits in Elementary Education, SACC Credential, or 2,500 hours of childcare experience is required. Position starts at $15.00/hour – actual rate of pay depends on education and experience.

Parent Educator (Bilingual preferred)

The YWCA is currently seeking qualified candidates to work with families that are involved with Lancaster County Children and Youth Social Services Agency. As a Parent Educator, you would be teaching and modeling parenting skills, identifying the parent’s needs of household management, helping to re-build self-esteem, identifying and promoting life management skills, and assist in the building of a support system for the family. This is done through a personalized intervention. Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.

Part-time and Full-time positions available. All training materials are provided and hours are flexible, but will include two Wednesday meetings per month from 9am-11am. Parenting experience strongly preferred (natural, foster or adoptive). Additional qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, strong documentation skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills. Additional training or experience in child welfare and/or child development is helpful. Court testimony may be required. Candidates must posses the desire and ability to embody the YWCA’s mission of empowering women and eliminating racism.

Early Head Start Teacher
