FT Director of Communications

YWCA Lancaster is seeking a skilled and strategic Director of Communications.

This position will focus on the agency’s overall marketing efforts and strategic messaging. The Director will lead brand communications using website, social media, e-blasts, community partnerships and PR approaches.

We are a growing agency with a singular and specific national brand. Qualified candidates will ensure a division of labor between local development and event needs with program specific needs. Excellent proofreading and editing skills, ensuring consistent voice, and creating engaging material is required. Individual will develop and manage content for social media marketing campaigns. Evaluate and monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics.

Candidates must possess the desire and ability to embody the YWCA’s mission of empowering women and eliminating racism. Fluency with current language regarding identities, racial justice, anti-racism a plus. This position reports to the Director of Development.

Required Skills, Experiences, and Characteristics:

• Ability to develop and implement strategic messaging for growing agency.
• Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing) and the intentional use of various channels to reach specific audiences.
• Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Constant Contact, and project management systems.
• Graphic design skills and ability to coordinate with external resources when possible.
• Must have strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills and ability to communicate marketing needs to program focused staff.
• Experience in content creation of various marketing platforms, including social, digital, and email marketing.
• Experience simultaneously managing multiple projects with different timelines and deliverables.
• Ability to analyze metrics, propose changes accordingly and implement messaging pivots.
• Must have a high level of creativity, energy, and passion for our mission.
Demonstrated success in communicating in a team setting.
• Assists with event planning from communications/marketing perspective.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Highly organized and able to create systems and processes to manage workload and stay on task.
• Understanding of various platforms (purpose and communication style) and passion for building community engagement and buy-in through these platforms.
• Ability to manage high-priority projects at once.
• Design skills a plus. Experience with Adobe preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field or equivalent experience.

FT Grant Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated, methodical and strategic grants manager to work with our organization in enhancing funding models, identifying new sources of funding, and developing sustainable and effective funding for our agency. The grant manager will write coherent, organized, and compelling proposals and apply knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach our revenue and support goals. You will collaborate with team members in the organization to assist with other fundraising projects and develop relationships with key stakeholders. The Grant manager will optimize our grant administration process, ensure timeliness of reports and support staff with compliance to grant regulations.

Your skills and expertise in successful grants management will aid our organization in meeting our mission by securing continuous funding, improving business opportunities through effective funding programs, and executing meaningful projects.

The ideal candidate for this role will be committed to our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women, should have superior organizational skills, great leadership qualities, and exceptional budgeting and monitoring skills. The outstanding grants manager should re-enforce relationships with donors, ensure that grant programs operate efficiently, streamline grant administration, and keep our organization fiscally sound. Grant Manager Responsibilities:

Grant Manager Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree with significant writing experience.

Full-Time Assistant Director - YWonderful Kids

YWCA Lancaster YWonderful Kids Penn Manor is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Assistant Director.  The Assistant Director will assist the Director with operations of 6 Before and After School Sites, Kindergarten Wrap Program and Summer Camp. This includes overseeing day to day operations; training, supervision and scheduling of staff; and attendance and enrollment.

Bilingual Counselor and Educator

YWCA Lancaster is looking for a dedicated and dynamic person to fill a role of Bilingual Counselor and Educator. This position is part-time with benefits (30 hours a week). The person in this role will specifically provide counseling, at our downtown and mobile sites, for children and adults who have experienced sexual violence. The person in the role will also provide primary prevention education programming.

A Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences or related field is required, Master’s degree preferred. Experience in counseling and public speaking preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish. Part-Time Before & After School Childcare Staff - Millersville

YWCA Lancaster is looking for PT Before and After School Staff.  Our School Age Childcare operates in Millersville from 6:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – various shifts are available.  Minimum of 9 credits in Elementary Education, SACC Credential, or 2,500 hours of childcare experience is required. Position starts at $15.00/hour – actual rate of pay depends on education and experience.

Parent Educator (Bilingual preferred)

The YWCA is currently seeking qualified candidates to work with families that are involved with Lancaster County Children and Youth Social Services Agency. As a Parent Educator, you would be teaching and modeling parenting skills, identifying the parent’s needs of household management, helping to re-build self-esteem, identifying and promoting life management skills, and assist in the building of a support system for the family. This is done through a personalized intervention. Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.

Part-time and Full-time positions available. All training materials are provided and hours are flexible, but will include two Wednesday meetings per month from 9am-11am. Parenting experience strongly preferred (natural, foster or adoptive). Additional qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, strong documentation skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills. Additional training or experience in child welfare and/or child development is helpful. Court testimony may be required.
